Gordon Gooding, Partner

Gordon founded the Halkin Partnership in 2008. Prior to this he headed up the Corporate team at a leading legal search boutique where he placed Partners, Senior Associates and General Counsel. Earlier in his career, Gordon earned additional experience at a global recruitment firm where he established the legal practice, having been one of the firm’s rising stars within the Financial Services and Investment Banking groups. Gordon started his career working for an Investment Bank. With over 16 years’ in the industry, Gordon has executed a large number of searches across London, Europe and the Middle East and Asia. Gordon undertook his undergraduate at Bristol before completing his MSc at the University of Manchester.

Nick Bayliss, Partner

Nick joined the Halkin Partnership in 2016. He trained and qualified at a Top 40 Law firm and was admitted to the roll in 2009. Prior to joining the Halkin Partnership Nick worked at a leading legal recruitment consultancy. Nick focuses predominantly on corporate finance, the area he practiced in, and his expertise lies in associate level search, working with both leading UK and US firms. He graduated from Newcastle University with a BA Hons in English Literature.

Tom Kirkby, Associate Researcher

Tom Kirkby joined The Halkin Partnership after graduating from the University of Bath with a BSc in Social Sciences.

He has gained international experience whilst working in the Sales and Marketing department of a B2B consumer goods company. In addition, he has worked for a Global Infrastructure Finance department of a leading accountancy firm.

Tom supports Halkin’s Associate team and is principally focused on mandates within the Corporate, Private Equity, Banking, Financial Services and Regulatory areas.
